WHO IS JESUS?
The Bible says…
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
We’ve all messed up
Even the best of us has messed up (sinned) – no one is perfect. Justice dictates that there is a penalty for sin. God love us and deeply desires a relationship with us – but he is also just!
God’s solution?
God’s solution? He sent his son. Jesus died so that we didn’t have to. The penalty paid, we can know God as our Father. Jesus overcame death. His power breaks every ‘chain’ – sin, fear, shame and addiction - setting us completely free.
That’s our experience – powerful love!
When we turn…
When we turn from living for ourselves, receiving Jesus’ gift of forgiveness we have a brand new life. God fills us with his Holy Spirit and we experience this transformation on the inside!
God loves you.
If you would like to know God personally in this way, why not pray something like this:
Lord Jesus Christ,
I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life. Please forgive me.
I now turn from living to please myself.
Thank you for dying on the cross for me so that I could be forgiven and set free.
I gratefully receive your forgiveness and the gift of your Holy Spirit.
Please come into my life by your Holy Spirit to be with me forever.
