LIFE TOGETHER

Sunday mornings - what to expect

Come as you are!

Our main weekly meeting is on a Sunday morning starting at 10.30am. Our gatherings are informal (no dress code!) with a family feel and we enjoy having visitors and welcoming new people into the church.

We start with lively, sung worship focusing us all on God. This is usually followed by a Bible-based talk (you can listen to previous talks here) and there is always an opportunity for someone to pray with you if you’d like that. We usually finish this part of our time together at around 12 noon. Then we have refreshments where we stay for a while for a chat - we’d love to get to know you over a coffee.

Our children are an important part of the family. There is space at the back of the hall where families can have fun as they participate in worship. We also have a Tots’ room suitable for babies and preschoolers, which you are welcome to use during the morning. Following the sung worship the children have their own Tree House Church in age groups.

On the fourth Sunday of the month we do things a little differently, and you are welcome to join us for an informal time of brunch and listening to people’s stories.

Life Groups

Every person in the church belongs to a Life Group which meets together regularly during the month. Our Life Groups have three main aims.

  • Get Real

Being open, keeping it real, we’ll help each other to grow. Serving one another in practical ways is fun done together; maybe the kids can join in too. And we all need time to ‘play’ and have some fun!

  • Go Deeper

It’s all about Jesus! We will go deeper, knowing him better, by growing together in worship, exploring the Bible and also in praying together.

  • Give It Away!

Where is God connecting my group with the community? Through hospitality, generosity and a passion for justice we will share Jesus’ heart for the community.

Prayer

Prayer is quite simply communicating with God - us to him and he to us (amazingly).

So prayer is foundational to all we do and a core part of daily life.

Once a month we gather to pray for our community, for the nations and for matters close to home.

We also have plans for more opportunities to pray together… watch this space!
